Pulled out the old windows and cleaned up around them, also filled in the old screw holes with fiberglass.

Had no windows for awhile, it did rain and I used 3M vinyl tape to make a window, it never leaked. That stuff is amazing!

Did some sanding of the stripe, planned to make it slightly bigger to fit the lines of the boat and also to make it easier to wax.

Made a pattern of the windows for cutting at a local plastic stop. They gave me a set free they cut out of leftovers to try it. I made some adjustments.

Kept my paper pattern so if I ever need to do this again, it will be even easier!

Placed blue tape to give myself a guide line to place the windows,  then used my favorite DOW 795 sealant black. I figured out how thick I wanted it to be and filled in the area within the blue tape with caulk, going over it so it was just a flat surface of sealant.

Later once the window was in I sealed around it also with 795.

I think I made the poster board pattern much like this also.

Windows went on and stick to the dow pretty easy with just a few mins of holding. I found out the 3M vinyl tape is fantastic for sticking to the boat the best. I used it to help hold the windows in.

I painted the stripe after this using a higher gloss marine paint.

Left the protective paper for a little while but you don't want to leave it on too long.

The 795 did ooze a little into the inside window, I gently used a flat razor blade tool to loosen it from the window without scratching, it came away super easy.

Replaced the headliner with a thin carpet from Sail Rite, covered the windows with paper so they wouldn't get spray from the 3M glue used.

Really wanted curtains so cut wood strips and attached them to the side wall with dow, I love this stuff because it holds your project. I predrilled and put screws in where I wanted the brakets for the curtain track.

Then you need a nice day of sun and its easy to cut the headliner hole out. I took a small knife and cut a tiny hole to back the screws out and then put the track bracket in.

Haven't sewn the curtains yet, will use the instructions off sail rites website. The little white clips hold a metal curtain track. They sell the adapters that fit into the track and you put them on the back of the curtain.

I made my pattern for it using this clear grid material they sell.

The before:

Leaky windows, cracks, sun faded. Super expensive when I replaced them years ago to never really fit right or last.

The after:

Seriously one of the best and cheapest projects I ever did!!

I am in love with it, it makes the boat look more streamlined and updated.

Its been 3 plus years and no leaks, no changes. So happy!
